A statewide journey through history

Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown are featured as signature destinations in the newly launched Virginia 250 Passport. This statewide initiative encourages Virginians and visitors to commemorate America’s 250th by exploring 70 premier historic sites and museums across five regions of Virginia.

Get your free passport and start exploring

Passports are free and available while supplies last. Pick one up for every member of your group at Jamestown Settlement, the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg, Monticello, Mount Vernon, Virginia Museum of History & Culture, VA250’s Mobile Museum, and Virginia Tourism’s 12 Welcome Centers across the Commonwealth.

Enjoy special discounts and win prizes

The Virginia 250 Passport will offer prizes and discounts to historic sites and museums, encouraging individuals and families to explore and experience history together. Collect a unique stamp at each Passport site. Once you collect at least five stamps, enter to win prizes, including cash prizes up to $2,500.

The project is supported by the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250) and the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC).
