Jamestown Legacy Interactive Exhibit

The Legacy area at the end of the Jamestown Settlement permanent galleries has been refreshed to allow visitors to reflect on what the nation’s history means to them and what can be done to advance initiatives they feel are important. The exhibit focuses on three broad legacy topics that incorporate several aspects affecting life in America: Civic Responsibility, Cultural Diversity and Environmental Impacts.

The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is engaging in a community service project honoring one of these three Jamestown legacies based on the voting results.

Vote at Jamestown Settlement

When you visit Jamestown Settlement, we encourage you to reflect on what the legacies of Jamestown mean to you and cast your vote for what you feel is important. Your vote will determine the Legacy community service activity our staff will undertake next.

Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation staff members participated in a tree planting service day in Richmond in partnership with the James River Association. We dug into the task of planting young trees to beautify the neighborhood and benefit the environment.
