Home MenuTo the Beat of the Drum!
Field music was incredibly important in 18th century armies, both British and Continental. A soldier’s life was regimented by sounds of the fife and beats of the drum, telling them when to awaken, eat, march and fire.
In this Hands-On History unit, explore the important role drums played in camp life, on the march and in battle during the American Revolution.
Try out some military drum commands with a video tutorial.
