Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is dedicated to providing engaging, historically accurate resources to support student learning. Along with programming that takes place at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, there are several opportunities for students to explore early Virginia and United States history virtually.

Field Trips

Whatever the age level or interest of your group, the combination of gallery exhibits and living history at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is ideal. The museums are wonderfully suited for group visits, choose a guided or self-guided tour.

Virtual Learning

Virtual learning programs provide students the opportunity to learn with a Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation educator through Zoom or your classroom’s virtual learning platform. The program is perfect for classes unable to travel to the museums or participate in Virginia outreach programs.

Classroom Outreach

Classrooms in Virginia can benefit from in-person visits from Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation educators, who guide students in our inquiry-based educational programs. The hour-long outreach programs support the Virginia Standards of Learning and offer related teaching resources.

School Programs Funding

The goal of the School Programs Support Fund is to help the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation reach as many public school children in the Commonwealth of Virginia as possible. The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., raises funds each year to aid school education programs. These funds are supported through grants and generous private donations. Through this support, we serve thousands of students across the state, providing onsite field trips, virtual and classroom outreach opportunities. Request School Programs and available funding.
