Connect with the past. Take action in the present. Shape the future.

Every summer, between Juneteenth and July 4th, communities, museums and historic sites across the country come together for Civic Season – an annual tradition developed by young people to “school up” on history and “skill up” to shape our future.

Held between our newest and oldest federal holidays, Civic Season offers events, activities and celebrations. It's a time to explore your story and how it connects to our nation’s complex past.

Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, commemorative partners of the VA 250 Commission, are proud to host a series of civics-related programs that engage with history, enduring legacies, and wishes for America’s next 250 years.
