Take a Spring Break from Modern Day
WILLIAMSBURG, Va., March 19, 2026 – Take a break from modern day and spring into history with hands-on experiences, engaging events and new membership opportunities at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Visitors can enjoy two museums and endless discovery with unforgettable daily experiences and one-of-a-kind events.
Upon arrival, families will receive a list of special spring break daily activities and demonstrations, from piloting and navigation to open-hearth cooking and gardens tours.
At Jamestown Settlement, uncover America’s first permanent English colony, cultures and traditions of the Virginia Indians, Europeans and West Central Africans who converged in 17th-century Virginia. Step onto a ship like one that brought colonists to Virginia in outdoor re-created settings, featuring James Fort and Paspahegh Town, and immerse yourself in the world of Jamestown in indoor galleries featuring rare artifacts, interactive exhibits and a 4D film that takes viewers back to “Bacon’s Rebellion.”
During America’s 250th anniversary, seize the revolutionary spirit at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown to uncover stories of ordinary people in extraordinary times. Cover your ears and hear the BOOM! of artillery in outdoor re-created settings of a Continental Army encampment and Revolution-era farm and view an original 1776 broadside of the Declaration of Independence in indoor galleries featuring rare artifacts, interactive exhibits and a 4D film that brings to life the “Siege of Yorktown.”

Step into “Out of Many, One,” a traveling museum packed inside a quad-expandable tractor trailer parked on museum grounds. This free experience delivers Virginia history in a way that feels alive and close enough to touch. Free for all.
March 26, April 12 & April 22: Behind the Seams Outlander Exhibition Tour
American Revolution Museum at Yorktown
This after-hours tour of the “Outlander: Costumes Woven in Time” special exhibition will give attendees the opportunity to examine real costume pieces and accessories from the “Outlander” television series not on display in the exhibit and learn about details that are ordinarily out of view. Evening ticketed event.
March 26: “Finding Edna Lewis” Documentary & Discussion
Jamestown Settlement
Join culinary historian Deb Freeman for this Emmy-winning PBS documentary chronicling how Edna Lewis made her mark introducing many Americans to seasonal, Southern cooking. Following the film, Freeman will host a special discussion. Evening ticketed event.
April 11: Heist Night

In partnership with the National Treasure Hunt podcast, enjoy escape room-style puzzles in the interactive environment of a murder mystery rooted in history as teams crack clues, solve ciphers and hack history to find the missing piece to a treasure hunt. Evening ticketed event.
April 18: Indigenous Stories Family Day

In partnership with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Indigenous Peoples Program, learn to play fun Indigenous games, listen to captivating storytellers share powerful tales and engage in traditional and contemporary crafts with Virginia Indian partners. Included with admission.
April 25: Fresh Views Youth Artmaking Workshop

Join an art workshop created by and for teens! Selected by our Student Engagement Committee, participants work with one of the artists in our current special exhibition, “Fresh Views of the American Revolution,” to create their own work. Ticketed daytime event.
April 25: Woven in Time Dye Workshop

As part of the "Outlander: Costumes Woven in Time" special exhibition, join us for a hands-on experience as living-history interpreters on the Revolution-era farm offer an exciting workshop to learn how different fibers were dyed in the 18th century. Ticketed daytime event.

Standing as one of the most significant 21st-century exhibitions of ceramics from the early colonial period, view thousands of sherds and a total of 31 vessels recovered during archaeological excavations at Historic Jamestowne beside intact examples from around the globe. Included with admission.

Find a perfect pass to the past with a variety of ticket options available to visit Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, including individual and value-saving combination tickets, as well as multi-day tickets with Williamsburg area attractions. Individual Tickets
Admission to either Jamestown Settlement or American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is $20 for adults, $10 for ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under.
Combination Ticket
A value-saving combination ticket to Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is $34.00 for adults, $17.00 for ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under.
America’s Historic Triangle Ticket
This five-day ticket grants unlimited admission to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield. The ticket is $126.00 adults, $57.00 for ages 6-15 and free for ages 5 and under.
Jamestown & Yorktown Four-Site Ticket
This five-day ticket provides admission to Jamestown Settlement, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield. The ticket is $66.00 for adults, $39.00 for ages 13-15, $22.00 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under.
ABOUT THE MUSEUMS
Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Jamestown Settlement is located at 2110 Jamestown Road near the Colonial Parkway. The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown is located on 200 Water Street in Yorktown. Museum shops and cafés are open during museum hours.
