Unique After-Hours Museum Experience to Shape the Future of Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Education Programs

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., September 9, 2025 – The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is proud to present the return of the History Makers Dinner from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 27 at Jamestown Settlement, featuring an elegant evening under the stars supporting hands-on history education programs that help inspire the next generation of history makers.

This exclusive evening event offers a unique opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for preserving our shared stories, while enjoying elevated dining with a side of history and an after-hours museum experience unlike any other. Throughout the night, attendees can experience just a taste of the initiatives their support funds by taking part in interactive education demonstrations led by museum educators – getting hands-on with history at a variety of engagement stations.

The History Makers Dinner is more than just an unforgettable evening — it’s a chance to change lives and shape the future. JYF supporters make a powerful impact on education programs that bring history to life in ways that ignite curiosity and inspire future leaders for thousands of students across Virginia and beyond. In FY25:

• Education programs served 198,173 learners through interactive programs and educational experiences at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and in outreach settings.
• On-site education programs served 156,368 school participants, and outreach and virtual education programs were presented to 41,805 people.
• Through all programming, JYF educators worked with students from 107 of Virginia’s 134 school districts and 13 states.
• During two donor-funded Teacher Institute sessions, JYF hosted 38 teachers from 29 Vir-ginia districts and 65 teachers participated in additional in-person weekend programming.
• During the school year, 207 teachers from across the country attended 9 virtual teacher professional development programs.
• Online education resources and curriculum materials are available at jyfmuseums.org.
